Shell Naturelle S2 Grease A600P 1.5 is a high-performance biodegradable grease developed for use in environmentally sensitive applications requiring reliable lubrication and protection. Formulated with renewable ester base oils and advanced additive technology, the grease is designed to provide excellent adhesion, corrosion protection and load carrying performance in demanding operating environments. The product is particularly suited for use on open gears, wire ropes, cables and other exposed mechanical components where strong lubrication and environmental compatibility are essential.
A key advantage of Shell Naturelle S2 Grease A600P 1.5 is its environmentally acceptable formulation. The product is classified as an Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant under the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Vessel General Permit (VGP) guidelines. It is formulated from more than 60 percent renewable raw materials and demonstrates high biodegradability, achieving over 60 percent biodegradation within 28 days under OECD 301F testing conditions. In addition, the grease is considered minimally toxic and non-bioaccumulative, making it suitable for applications where environmental protection is a priority, such as marine and offshore operations.
Shell Naturelle S2 Grease A600P 1.5 also delivers excellent resistance to water wash-off due to its outstanding adhesion properties. The grease operates effectively across a temperature range of approximately –20°C to 100°C, providing dependable lubrication in a wide range of operating environments.
Applications include lubrication of wire ropes, cables, crane wires and davit systems as well as open gears and low-speed plain bearings operating at speeds below 500 rpm. It is also commonly used in marine components such as rudder stocks, rudder trunk voids, propeller caps and dredger bucket wheels, where strong adhesion, water resistance and environmental compliance are required.
