The range is led by environmentally acceptable lubricants including Shell Naturelle S4 Stern Tube and Gear Fluid and Total Carter BIO, which meet the EAL requirements of the US VGP and similar oil-to-sea interface rules, alongside conventional grades such as Mobil Stern Tube Lube. Formulated for load-carrying performance and water tolerance where seawater ingress is routine rather than exceptional, with rapid demulsibility and corrosion protection keeping gearsets and bearings serviceable between dry dockings.
