Castrol Viscogen 3N (previously called Viscochain 3N) is an extremely thermally stable, synthetic lubricant especially designed for chain lubrication. It features a very high thermal and oxidation stability as well as an adherent lubricating film with a high load carrying capacity. For a high-temperature chain lubricant Castrol Viscogen 3N is characterized by an extremely low residue formation.
Advanced extreme-pressure (EP) additive chemistry delivers strong load-carrying capability, helping to protect mating surfaces against scuffing and micro-pitting under heavy-duty operation.
Strong thermal and oxidative stability allows Castrol Viscogen 3N to resist breakdown at elevated operating temperatures, helping the product retain its protective properties under demanding duty cycles.
