Mobil ATF 220
Mobil ATF 220 is a high-performance automatic transmission fluid developed for use in older automatic transmissions and applications requiring Dexron IID level performance. Formulated using high-quality conventional base oils combined with a specialised additive system, Mobil ATF 220 provides reliable lubrication, smooth shifting performance and effective wear protection across a wide range of operating conditions. The formulation is designed to deliver consistent transmission performance in both passenger cars and light commercial vehicles.
One of the key advantages of Mobil ATF 220 is its strong resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation. It is also suitable for off-highway equipment, industrial hydraulic systems and agricultural machinery where similar fluid performance is required. The product meets a wide range of industry and manufacturer specifications including GM Dexron II, Allison C-4, Caterpillar TO-2, Mercedes-Benz MB 236.7 and various ZF and MAN approvals.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 37 mm²/s at 40°C and 7.0 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of around 153. Mobil ATF 220 has a density of approximately 0.870 g/ml at 15°C, a flash point of approximately 200°C and a pour point of approximately −44°C. The fluid also provides a Brookfield viscosity of approximately 33,000 mPa·s at −40°C and is red in colour, supporting reliable lubrication performance and smooth transmission operation across a wide range of operating conditions.
