Mobil EAL Arctic 170
Mobil EAL Arctic 170 is a premium fully synthetic refrigeration lubricant formulated using advanced Polyol Ester (POE) base oils and a specialised additive system. It is designed for use in refrigeration compressors operating with ozone-friendly HFC, HFO and HFO/HFC blend refrigerants, providing outstanding performance across a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
One of the key advantages of Mobil EAL Arctic 170 is its excellent thermal and chemical stability. The formulation resists degradation at high operating temperatures, helping reduce deposit formation and maintain system cleanliness. This contributes to extended oil life, reduced maintenance requirements and improved overall system reliability.
Mobil EAL Arctic 170 also offers excellent miscibility with modern refrigerants. This ensures efficient oil return to the compressor, maintaining effective lubrication and supporting system efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions.
Another important benefit of Mobil EAL Arctic 170 is its strong anti-wear performance. It provides reliable protection for compressor components, helping reduce wear and extend equipment life in demanding refrigeration applications.
Mobil EAL Arctic 170 also delivers excellent low-temperature fluidity due to its wax-free formulation. This helps prevent wax formation and ensures efficient operation in low-temperature environments, improving evaporator performance and overall system efficiency.
Mobil EAL Arctic 170 is recommended for use in HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration and industrial refrigeration applications, including food processing, storage and transport. It is suitable for a wide range of compressor types and is widely approved by major OEMs. It should not be used in ammonia (NH₃) systems.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 168 mm²/s at 40°C and 15.3 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of around 91. Mobil EAL Arctic 170 has a density of approximately 0.969 kg/l at 15°C, a flash point of approximately 279°C and a pour point of approximately −29°C, supporting reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
