Mobil Vacuoline 525
Mobil Vacuoline 525 is part of the Mobil Vacuoline 500 Series, a family of high-performance heavy-duty circulating oils designed for demanding industrial equipment. These lubricants were originally developed for No-Twist rod mills but are also suitable for a wide range of circulating systems lubricating gears and bearings. The formulation uses high-quality base oils and a proprietary additive system to deliver excellent oil retention, corrosion protection and dependable performance.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Vacuoline 525 is its strong anti-wear performance. The lubricant provides excellent protection for gears, bearings and other critical components operating under moderate loads. This helps reduce wear, extend equipment life and minimise unplanned downtime.
Mobil Vacuoline 525 also provides excellent demulsibility. The oil separates rapidly from water and contaminants, helping maintain lubrication performance even under severe water contamination. This supports smooth system operation and reduces maintenance requirements. The formulation also offers high resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, helping extend oil life.
Another important benefit is its versatility across multiple applications. Mobil Vacuoline 525 is suitable for circulating systems, plain and rolling element bearings, moderate duty gear units and hydraulic systems requiring higher viscosity anti-wear fluids. It can also be used in compressors and vacuum pumps handling air or inert gases where discharge temperatures do not exceed approximately 150°C.
Mobil Vacuoline 525 meets Morgan No-Twist® mill oil quality specifications and Danieli rod mill requirements. The ISO VG 150 viscosity provides reliable film strength and stable lubrication for heavy-duty circulating applications.
Physical characteristics include ISO VG 150 viscosity grade with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 89 mm²/s at 40°C and 10.7 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobil Vacuoline 525 has a flash point of approximately 264°C and a pour point of approximately −24°C. The oil provides reliable wear protection, water separation and long service life in industrial circulating systems.
