Mobilcut 320 New
Mobilcut 320 New is a high-quality synthetic water-miscible metalworking fluid developed for general grinding operations. The formulation is boron free and designed to provide outstanding cooling performance, low foaming characteristics and reliable machining results. Mobilcut 320 New is supplied as a concentrate and mixed with water at the point of use, forming a clear chemical solution suitable for modern grinding applications.
One of the key advantages of Mobilcut 320 New is its excellent grinding performance. The fluid is primarily recommended for grinding of steels and cast iron where high surface finish quality is required. The synthetic formulation delivers strong cooling capability, helping maintain dimensional accuracy and improve workpiece quality. The product is not recommended for tungsten carbide applications.
Mobilcut 320 New also provides low foaming characteristics and long-term stability. The formulation resists formation of sticky residues and offers excellent separability from fines and tramp oils. This helps improve filterability, extend fluid life and maintain machine cleanliness. The fluid also provides strong corrosion protection for both components and machine tools.
Another important benefit is its versatility across grinding operations. Mobilcut 320 New is suitable for cylindrical, surface and general grinding of steels and cast iron. Typical recommended concentrations range from approximately 5–8% for low alloy steels and cylindrical grinding, and up to 8–10% for more demanding carbon alloy steel grinding operations.
Mobilcut 320 New performs best in water hardness ranges from 0 to 20° dH and remains stable up to approximately 40° dH in service. The fluid type is a chemical solution with refractometer factor of approximately 1.4, making it easy to monitor and maintain.
Physical characteristics include yellow liquid appearance in concentrate form and clear, colourless appearance when mixed with water. Mobilcut 320 New has density of approximately 1085 kg/m³ at 15°C, kinematic viscosity of approximately 70 mm²/s at 20°C and pH of approximately 9.5 at 5% concentration.
