Mobilgear 600 XP 100
Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is part of the Mobilgear 600 XP Series, a range of extra high-performance gear oils formulated for enclosed gear drives operating under severe conditions. These oils provide outstanding extreme pressure performance and load-carrying capability, helping protect gears, bearings and seals in modern high power density gearboxes. The balanced formulation helps prevent micropitting and gear tooth wear while maintaining compatibility with common seal materials.
One of the key advantages of Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is its excellent wear protection. The formulation helps protect gear teeth from microscopic wear that can lead to significant damage. The oil provides enhanced bearing protection and helps extend component life, improving equipment reliability and reducing unexpected downtime.
Mobilgear 600 XP 100 also provides strong oxidation resistance and thermal stability. This helps reduce sludge and deposit formation, keeping gearboxes clean and extending lubricant service life. The oil also offers excellent rust and corrosion protection for steel and copper-containing components.
Another important benefit is its versatility across applications. Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is suitable for industrial spur, helical and bevel gears operating under heavy or shock loads. It may also be used in marine gearing applications and in non-gear components such as heavily loaded bearings operating at slow speeds.
Mobilgear 600 XP 100 is recommended for enclosed gear drives with splash or circulation lubrication systems operating at bulk oil temperatures up to approximately 100°C. The oil helps maintain seal integrity, reduce leakage and improve overall gearbox reliability.
Physical characteristics include ISO VG 100 viscosity grade with kinematic viscosity of approximately 100 mm²/s at 40°C and 11.2 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobilgear 600 XP 100 has density of approximately 0.88 kg/L at 15°C, flash point of approximately 230°C and pour point of approximately −24°C. The oil provides strong extreme pressure protection and long service performance.
