Mobilux EP 1
Mobilux EP 1 is part of the Mobilux EP Series, a range of high-performance lithium hydroxystearate greases formulated to deliver excellent protection against wear, rust and water washout. These greases are widely recognised for their durability and consistent performance across a broad range of industrial applications. Mobilux EP 1 is an NLGI 1 grade grease, offering a softer consistency than NLGI 2, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring improved pumpability.
One of the key advantages of Mobilux EP 1 is its excellent load-carrying and anti-wear performance. The grease is formulated with extreme pressure (EP) additives that help protect components operating under heavy loads, shock loading and vibration. This helps reduce wear, extend equipment life and improve overall reliability.
Mobilux EP 1 also provides strong resistance to water washout and excellent corrosion protection. The formulation protects metal surfaces from rust and corrosion, making it suitable for use in wet or contaminated environments where reliable lubrication is critical.
Another important benefit is its good low-temperature pumpability. The NLGI 1 consistency allows the grease to flow more easily than stiffer grades, making it ideal for centralised lubrication systems and applications where consistent grease delivery is required. This helps ensure reliable lubrication and reduces the risk of component wear due to insufficient grease supply.
Mobilux EP 1 is recommended for a wide range of industrial applications, including bearings, bushings and pins operating under moderate to heavy loads. It is particularly suited for centralised lubrication systems and equipment requiring a balance between flowability and staying power. The product operates effectively across a temperature range of approximately −20°C to 130°C.
Physical characteristics include NLGI 1 consistency with lithium thickener and base oil viscosity of approximately 160 mm²/s at 40°C. Mobilux EP 1 has a dropping point of approximately 190°C and a Timken OK load of 40 lb, demonstrating strong extreme pressure capability. The grease delivers excellent wear protection, reliable pumpability and long-lasting performance in demanding industrial environments.
