Shell Advance VSX 2 is a synthetic-based lubricant specifically developed for high-performance 2-stroke motorcycle engines. Designed to provide excellent engine protection and reliable performance, it offers superior control against exhaust system blocking while helping to minimise exhaust smoke. The formulation exceeds the requirements of leading motorcycle manufacturers and is suitable for both oil-injection and premix systems.
A key benefit of Shell Advance VSX 2 is its excellent engine protection and cleanliness. The formulation has been carefully balanced and extensively tested in 2-stroke engines to prevent scuffing, ring sticking and deposit formation. By controlling deposits and maintaining clean internal components, the oil helps prolong engine life and preserve original performance levels.
Shell Advance VSX 2 provides superior control against exhaust system blocking. Its advanced additive system helps prevent the formation of exhaust deposits that can reduce engine efficiency and performance. By maintaining a cleaner exhaust system, the oil supports consistent power delivery and helps reduce maintenance related to blocked exhaust components.
The oil also minimises exhaust smoke through the use of a high proportion of carefully selected polyisobutylenes. Shell Advance VSX 2 demonstrates very good self-mixing properties due to the inclusion of a hydrocarbon diluent. It is blended to the appropriate viscosity for use in modern oil-injection systems and can also be used in premix applications. The product is recommended for high-performance air-cooled and water-cooled 2-stroke motorcycle engines. However, it should not be used in outboard engines, where a dedicated Shell Nautilus oil is recommended.
Shell Advance VSX 2 meets recognised performance standards including JASO FC and ISO-L-EGD, confirming its suitability for modern 2-stroke motorcycle engines.
