Shell GadusRail S4 High Speed EUFR is an advanced high-performance railway grease developed specifically for high-speed axle box applications in modern rail systems. Formulated using Shell’s synthetic XHVI base oil technology combined with a high-quality lithium soap thickener, the grease provides exceptional lubrication performance, durability and reliability in demanding rail environments. It is designed to support extended service intervals and reduced maintenance requirements for high-speed trains operating at speeds exceeding 200 km/h.

The grease meets the requirements of DIN EN 12081:2011-01 b for railway axle box lubrication. Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 40 cSt at 40°C and 7 cSt at 100°C, a dropping point greater than 180°C and a worked cone penetration of approximately 255 (0.1 mm). These properties help ensure reliable lubrication performance and stability in high-speed rail environments where durability and safety are critical.
