Shell Helix Ultra Professional AB-L 0W-30 is a premium fully synthetic motor oil developed to meet the demanding requirements of modern high-performance engines, particularly those produced by Mercedes-Benz. The oil has been tested using the ACEA M111FE fuel economy test and has demonstrated approximately 2.6 percent improvement in fuel efficiency compared with industry reference oils. The oil also delivers excellent engine cleanliness. During engine operation, combustion by-products and degraded oil can lead to sludge and deposit formation inside the engine. The oil successfully passes several engine cleanliness and deposit control tests, including the Sequence IIIG piston cleanliness test, the Sequence VH sludge test and the Volkswagen TDI piston cleanliness test. These specifications require lubricants to pass a range of manufacturer-specific engine tests, including sludge control, wear protection and fuel economy testing in several Mercedes-Benz engine platforms. The oil is particularly suitable for diesel engines equipped with diesel particulate filter technology.
