Shell Spirax S6 ATF VM Plus is a premium performance automatic transmission fluid developed specifically for use in Voith Turbo heavy-duty automatic transmissions. Formulated with carefully selected base oils and advanced additive technology, the lubricant is engineered to provide outstanding durability, smooth transmission performance and extended service intervals. The fluid has been developed in conjunction with Voith hardware to ensure optimum compatibility and performance in demanding heavy-duty applications.
One of the key advantages of Shell Spirax S6 ATF VM Plus is its capability to support extended oil drain intervals. The advanced formulation enables significantly longer service intervals in Voith DIWA series transmissions, allowing up to 180,000 km drain intervals in DIWA.6 and DIWA.5 transmissions depending on operating conditions. It is also suitable for DIWA.3E and earlier Voith transmission models with extended drain intervals of up to 120,000 km. These extended maintenance intervals help reduce downtime and maintenance costs for commercial fleets.
Shell Spirax S6 ATF VM Plus also delivers smooth and consistent shifting performance. The advanced additive system provides excellent friction stability and viscometric control, ensuring precise clutch engagement and reliable power transfer. It carries approvals and recommendations including Voith 150.014524.xx and Voith US SB 0113/118, as well as ZF TE-ML 4D, 14B, 16L and 17C, MAN 339 Type L1, V3 and Z2, DTFR 13C170 and DTFR 13D130, and MB-Approval 236.93. Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 32.7 mm²/s at 40°C and 7.0 mm²/s at 100°C with a viscosity index of approximately 183. The fluid has a density of approximately 850 kg/m³ at 15°C, a flash point of approximately 222°C and a pour point of approximately –48°C, supporting reliable performance across a wide range of operating environments.
