Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46
Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46 is a premium zinc-free and ashless hydraulic oil formulated using high-quality solvent-refined base oils. It is specifically designed for modern hydraulic systems requiring clean operation, strong protection and long service life, particularly where zinc-free formulations are preferred.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46 is its excellent anti-wear performance. The formulation helps protect critical hydraulic components such as pumps, valves and bearings, ensuring smooth operation and reducing the risk of wear-related failures. This contributes to improved equipment reliability and reduced maintenance costs.
Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46 also offers outstanding oxidation and thermal stability. It resists degradation at elevated temperatures, helping maintain oil performance over extended operating periods while minimising sludge and deposit formation. This supports longer oil life and cleaner system operation.
Another important benefit is its ashless and zinc-free formulation. This reduces residue formation during operation and lowers environmental impact, particularly in applications where wastewater contamination must be minimised. It also ensures compatibility with sensitive components and coating processes.
Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46 also provides excellent water separation and low foaming characteristics. These properties help maintain system efficiency, prevent corrosion and ensure reliable operation even under high circulation rates.
The product is particularly suited for use in hydraulic presses such as Müller Weingarten systems, as well as modern hydraulic systems requiring DIN 51524-2 (HLP) performance. It can also be used for the lubrication of bearings and spur gears in machine tools and similar equipment.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 46 mm²/s at 40°C and 6.8 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobil Hydraulic Oil M 46 has a flash point of approximately 210°C, a pour point of approximately −27°C and an acid number of approximately 0.4 mg KOH/g, supporting reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
