Mobil Aero HFA is a premium quality aviation hydraulic fluid developed for aircraft hydraulic systems requiring hydrocarbon-based hydraulic fluids. Formulated using high-quality mineral base oils combined with shear-stable viscosity index improvers, Mobil Aero HFA provides reliable hydraulic performance, strong anti-wear protection and excellent low-temperature fluidity. The formulation is specifically engineered to support dependable hydraulic system operation across a wide range of operating conditions commonly experienced in aviation environments.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Aero HFA is its exceptionally high viscosity index. The fluid provides long and trouble-free service across a wide range of operating conditions.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 14.0 mm²/s at 40°C and 5.2 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of around 370. Mobil Aero HFA has a density of approximately 7.26 lb/gal at 60°F, a flash point of approximately 107°C and a pour point of approximately −64°C. The fluid also provides a kinematic viscosity of approximately 1900 mm²/s at −54°C, supporting reliable hydraulic system operation across extremely low temperature aviation environments.
