Mobil DTE 932 GT

Mobil DTE 932 GT is a next-generation high-performance turbine oil engineered for use in large frame gas turbines operating under severe conditions. Formulated with high-quality base oils and a proprietary additive system, it provides outstanding oxidation resistance and industry-leading “keep clean” performance to support long oil life and reliable turbine operation. The formulation also includes a non-zinc anti-wear system to meet the load-carrying requirements of geared turbine systems.

One of the key advantages of Mobil DTE 932 GT is its excellent thermal and oxidation stability. The lubricant resists degradation at high operating temperatures, helping reduce downtime, extend oil service life and maintain consistent performance in demanding turbine environments.

Mobil DTE 932 GT also provides exceptional varnish control. The carefully balanced formulation helps minimise varnish formation within hydraulic systems, ensuring cleaner components, improved reliability and reduced maintenance requirements—particularly in high-performance gas turbine systems.

Another important benefit of Mobil DTE 932 GT is its excellent air release and foam control properties. These characteristics help prevent cavitation and unstable operation, ensuring smooth system performance and improved equipment efficiency, especially during start-up and varying load conditions.

Mobil DTE 932 GT also offers good electrical conductivity, which helps reduce varnish formation potential and supports reliable operation of hydraulic control systems. This further enhances overall turbine performance and reduces the likelihood of system issues.

Mobil DTE 932 GT is recommended for use in gas turbine systems, including combustion turbine bearing and hydraulic systems in both power generation and mechanical drive applications. It is particularly suited for General Electric Frame 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 turbines where varnish control is critical. It is not recommended for steam turbine applications.

Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 31.5 mm²/s at 40°C and 6.1 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of around 141. Mobil DTE 932 GT has a density of approximately 0.84 g/ml at 15.6°C, a flash point of approximately 240°C and a pour point of approximately −18°C, supporting reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
