Mobil Flush 320
Mobil Flush 320 is a purpose-built flushing lubricant developed for wind turbine gearbox systems. It is specifically designed to remove residual oils, deposits and contaminants during oil change procedures, ensuring optimal performance of the final lubricant charge, particularly Mobil SHC Gear 320 WT.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Flush 320 is its ability to effectively clean gearbox systems. It helps remove contaminants and residual oil from previous lubricants, ensuring that the new oil operates under clean conditions and delivers its full performance potential.
Mobil Flush 320 also features an optimised ISO 320 viscosity. This ensures adequate wear protection during the flushing process while avoiding any compromise to the viscosity of the final oil charge, even if small amounts of flush oil remain in the system.
Another important benefit of Mobil Flush 320 is its operational reliability. The formulation is designed to prevent foaming and filter blockage, ensuring smooth and trouble-free flushing operations. Its low sulphur content also helps reduce the risk of issues such as “sulphur syndrome” in wind turbine gearboxes.
Mobil Flush 320 is intended for use during oil change procedures, gearbox installation or maintenance operations. It is not designed for long-term use as a gear oil, but rather as a temporary flushing fluid to prepare systems for new lubricant filling.
Typical usage involves draining the existing oil, cleaning system components, filling with Mobil Flush 320, running the system under controlled conditions and then draining before refilling with the final gear oil. This process helps ensure long-term gearbox reliability and performance.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 335 mm²/s at 40°C and 29.6 mm²/s at 100°C, with a viscosity index of around 121. Mobil Flush 320 has a density of approximately 0.873 g/ml at 15.6°C, a flash point of approximately 272°C and a pour point of approximately −30°C, supporting reliable performance during flushing operations.
