Mobil Rarus PE R-C 220
Mobil Rarus PE R-C 220 is a premium, colourless ISO VG 220 compressor lubricant developed specifically for high-pressure ethylene compressors used in low-density polyethylene (LDPE) production. It is formulated using high-purity saturated hydrocarbons, specialised friction reducers and free-radical inhibitors to deliver reliable lubrication and maintain product purity in demanding applications.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Rarus PE R-C 220 is its excellent resistance to polymerisation. The formulation is designed to minimise reaction with ethylene gas, helping prevent deposits and operational issues in compressor systems operating at pressures up to approximately 3000 bar. This supports improved reliability and extended equipment life.
Mobil Rarus PE R-C 220 also provides strong wear protection for high-speed reciprocating compressors. The lubricant helps protect cylinders, plungers and packing components under extreme pressure conditions, reducing wear and supporting long service intervals.

Mobil Rarus PE R-C 220 has a colourless to light appearance with Saybolt colour of +24 minimum, a low pour point for improved low-temperature handling and controlled water content. The formulation is designed for high purity applications and reliable lubrication in extreme-pressure ethylene compressor systems.
