Mobil Univis HVI 26
Mobil Univis HVI 26 is part of the Univis HVI Series, a range of premium performance anti-wear hydraulic oils characterised by their unusually high viscosity index. These oils are engineered to maintain close viscosity control across wide temperature ranges, making them ideal for hydraulic systems sensitive to viscosity changes. The formulation provides consistent hydraulic performance, improved efficiency and dependable protection under demanding operating conditions.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Univis HVI 26 is its excellent low-temperature fluidity. The very low pour point allows reliable operation in extremely cold environments, supporting fast start-up and smooth hydraulic system response. This makes the oil suitable for mobile equipment, outdoor machinery and hydraulic systems operating in sub-zero conditions.
Mobil Univis HVI 26 also provides strong anti-wear protection. The advanced formulation protects high-pressure vane, piston and gear pumps, reducing wear and extending equipment life. The oil resists shear and viscosity loss, helping maintain system efficiency and minimise internal leakage at elevated temperatures.
Another important benefit is its oxidation stability and system cleanliness performance. The oil helps reduce deposit formation and maintain clean hydraulic components. It also provides excellent rust and corrosion protection along with good water separability, supporting long service life and reliable operation.
Mobil Univis HVI 26 is recommended for hydraulic systems requiring precise viscosity control over wide temperature ranges. It is suitable for hydrostatic transmissions, servo-valve systems, fine instruments and equipment operating with cold start-up and high operating temperatures. The oil is particularly useful where high load-carrying capability and anti-wear performance are required.
Physical characteristics include ISO VG 26 viscosity grade with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 25.8 mm²/s at 40°C and 9.3 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobil Univis HVI 26 has a viscosity index of approximately 376 and a pour point of approximately −60°C. The oil provides exceptional viscosity stability, cold temperature performance and reliable hydraulic system protection.
