Mobilarma 798
Mobilarma 798 is part of the Mobilarma 700 Series, a range of premium performance rust preventives developed for storage protection and operational lubrication applications. Mobilarma 798 is specifically designed for lubrication and corrosion protection of wire ropes used in industrial, construction, mining and marine environments. The product forms a grease-like protective film that protects against moisture, salt spray and corrosive atmospheres.
One of the key advantages of Mobilarma 798 is its excellent corrosion protection. The grease-like film protects wire ropes from the corrosive effects of salt spray and moisture-laden environments. The coating remains effective across a wide range of temperatures and provides protection against mild acidic conditions commonly encountered in industrial applications.
Mobilarma 798 also provides effective lubrication between wire rope strands. The product penetrates and lubricates internal components, helping reduce wear and extend rope service life. The protective film is self-healing, resists throw-off during high-speed operation and adheres well without becoming tacky or stringy.
Another important benefit is its wide operating temperature capability. Mobilarma 798 remains pliable at temperatures as low as −35°C and resists dripping at temperatures up to approximately 60°C. This ensures consistent protection and lubrication in both cold and warm operating environments. The product is also compatible with wire rope core impregnating materials used during manufacture.
Mobilarma 798 is recommended for lubrication and preservation of running ropes and strands, as well as impregnation of steel wire ropes during manufacture. It is easy to apply, economical to use and provides long-lasting protection in demanding applications.
Physical characteristics include density of approximately 0.88 g/cm³ at 15°C and dropping point of approximately 63°C. Mobilarma 798 has a flash point of approximately 238°C and kinematic viscosity of approximately 23.1 mm²/s at 100°C. The product provides strong corrosion protection, effective lubrication and extended wire rope service life.
