Mobiltac 325 NC
Mobiltac 325 NC is part of the Mobiltac NC Series, a range of extra high-performance, non-leaded, diluent-type open gear lubricants developed for demanding mining and industrial applications. These lubricants are formulated with a volatile, non-chlorinated solvent that ensures fluidity during application, even at low temperatures. Once applied, the solvent evaporates, leaving behind a viscous, adhesive lubricant film that provides strong, long-lasting protection under severe operating conditions.
One of the key advantages of Mobiltac 325 NC is its excellent adhesion and resistance to throw-off. The lubricant forms a flexible, high-strength film that clings to gear teeth and other components, ensuring continuous lubrication even under heavy loads and boundary conditions. This helps reduce wear, extend component life and improve overall equipment reliability.
Mobiltac 325 NC also provides outstanding resistance to water wash-off. The formulation protects equipment in wet environments, including exposure to rain, snow and process water, helping maintain lubrication performance and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.
Another important benefit is its excellent low-temperature performance and ease of application. The inclusion of a diluent allows the lubricant to be applied easily at lower temperatures without the need for preheating. After application, the lubricant maintains a stable, non-hardening film that does not chip, flake or build up excessively in gear tooth roots.
Mobiltac 325 NC is recommended for lubrication of heavily loaded open gears, including those found in mining equipment, cement kilns and ore-processing mills. It is particularly suitable where ease of application at lower temperatures is required compared to higher viscosity grades. The product can be applied manually or through automatic lubrication systems.
Physical characteristics include a viscous, semi-fluid black appearance with kinematic viscosity of approximately 5000 mm²/s at 40°C (diluted) and approximately 1260 mm²/s at 100°C (undiluted). Mobiltac 325 NC has a flash point of approximately 110°C and density of around 0.96 kg/L. The lubricant delivers excellent adhesion, strong load-carrying capability and reliable protection in severe open gear applications.
