Mobilgrease Special
Mobilgrease Special is a high-performance lithium hydroxystearate grease formulated with extreme pressure additives and molybdenum disulphide (moly) for enhanced wear protection. It is designed to deliver reliable lubrication in heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications, providing protection against wear, rust, corrosion, water washout and high-temperature oxidation.
One of the key advantages of Mobilgrease Special is its excellent wear protection under severe operating conditions. The addition of molybdenum disulphide provides extra protection for heavily loaded components, particularly in applications involving sliding, oscillating or shock loading conditions.
Mobilgrease Special also provides strong resistance to water washout and corrosion. The formulation helps maintain effective lubrication even in the presence of moisture, protecting components from rust and extending equipment life. This contributes to reduced maintenance requirements and improved operational reliability.
Another important benefit is its versatility. Mobilgrease Special is suitable for a wide range of applications including passenger cars, trucks, agricultural equipment, construction machinery and mining equipment. It is particularly effective in wheel bearings and chassis components operating under severe conditions.
Mobilgrease Special performs reliably across a temperature range of approximately −20°C to 130°C and offers good pumpability for use in centralised lubrication systems. The grease is designed to deliver consistent performance in demanding environments.
Physical characteristics include NLGI 2 consistency with lithium thickener and grey-black appearance. Mobilgrease Special has a dropping point of approximately 190°C and base oil viscosity of approximately 160 mm²/s at 40°C. The grease provides strong extreme pressure performance, wear protection and long service life in heavy-duty applications.
