Mobilmet 424
Mobilmet 424 is part of the Mobilmet 420 Series, a range of premium multi-purpose cutting oils formulated for light to moderate duty machining applications. These oils are chlorine-free, non-staining and non-corrosive, making them suitable for use on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Physical characteristics include ISO VG 23 viscosity grade with kinematic viscosity of approximately 23 mm²/s at 40°C and 5.7 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobilmet 424 has density of approximately 0.862 kg/L at 15°C, flash point of approximately 200°C and pour point of approximately −15°C. The oil delivers reliable machining performance, improved surface finish and extended tool life across a wide range of applications.
