Mobiltac 375 NC
Mobiltac 375 NC is part of the Mobiltac NC Series, a range of extra high-performance, non-leaded, diluent-type open gear lubricants developed for demanding mining and heavy industrial environments. These lubricants are formulated with a non-chlorinated, volatile solvent that ensures fluidity during application, even at lower temperatures. Once applied, the solvent evaporates, leaving behind a highly adhesive, viscous lubricant film that provides long-lasting protection under extreme operating conditions.
One of the key advantages of Mobiltac 375 NC is its superior load-carrying capability and wear protection. The lubricant forms a strong, continuous film on gear teeth and machine components, ensuring effective lubrication even under boundary conditions and heavy loads. This helps reduce wear, minimise breakdowns and extend equipment life in critical applications.
Mobiltac 375 NC also offers excellent adhesion and resistance to throw-off. Its tacky, flexible consistency ensures the lubricant remains in place during operation, reducing product loss and maintaining consistent protection. This helps lower lubricant consumption and improve operational efficiency.
Another important benefit is its strong resistance to water wash-off. The formulation protects components in harsh environments exposed to rain, snow and process water, maintaining lubrication performance and reducing the risk of unplanned downtime.
Mobiltac 375 NC is specifically recommended for heavily loaded open gear systems operating at higher temperatures, such as large ring gears on cement kilns and ore-processing mills. Its higher viscosity base oil provides enhanced film strength compared to lower viscosity grades, making it particularly suitable for the most demanding applications. The product can be applied manually or through automatic lubrication systems.
Physical characteristics include a viscous, semi-fluid black appearance with kinematic viscosity of approximately 5000 mm²/s at 40°C (diluted) and approximately 1000 mm²/s at 100°C (undiluted). Mobiltac 375 NC has a flash point of approximately 135°C and density of around 0.96 kg/L. The lubricant delivers excellent adhesion, high load-carrying capability and reliable long-term protection in severe open gear applications.
