Mobiltherm 610
Mobiltherm 610 is part of the Mobiltherm 600 Series, a range of high-performance heat transfer oils developed for use in closed and open indirect heating systems. These oils are formulated from highly refined base stocks that provide excellent resistance to thermal cracking and chemical oxidation, ensuring reliable and consistent performance in severe operating conditions.
One of the key advantages of Mobiltherm 610 is its outstanding thermal stability at higher operating temperatures. The formulation resists breakdown and minimises the formation of sludge and coke deposits, helping maintain system cleanliness and efficient heat transfer over extended service periods. This reduces maintenance requirements and supports long-term operational reliability.
Mobiltherm 610 also provides excellent heat transfer efficiency. Its balanced viscosity and thermal properties allow for rapid heat dissipation and consistent temperature control throughout the system. This contributes to improved process efficiency, reduced energy consumption and lower operating costs.
Another important benefit is its durability and long service life. The oil maintains stable viscosity and performance due to its resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation. It also offers good low-temperature fluidity, ensuring easy start-up and reliable circulation, even in colder operating conditions.
Mobiltherm 610 is recommended for use in closed indirect heating systems operating at bulk oil temperatures up to approximately 315°C and in open systems up to approximately 250°C. It is particularly suited for higher temperature applications where enhanced thermal performance and stability are required.
Physical characteristics include kinematic viscosity of approximately 113 mm²/s at 40°C and 11.5 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobiltherm 610 has density of approximately 0.880 kg/L at 15°C, flash point of approximately 250°C and pour point of approximately −6°C. The oil delivers reliable heat transfer, excellent high-temperature stability and extended service life in demanding industrial environments.
