Shell Gadinia S3 40
Shell Gadinia S3 40 is a high-quality, multifunctional marine diesel engine lubricant designed for the most severe operating conditions in medium-speed main propulsion and auxiliary trunk piston engines. It is formulated for engines operating on distillate fuels containing up to 1% sulphur, as well as bio-fuels, where reliable protection, cleanliness and long service life are critical.
The advanced formulation of Shell Gadinia S3 40 delivers excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal degradation, enabling extended oil life even in high-stress engines operating under severe conditions. This enhanced stability helps reduce oil consumption, extend drain intervals and lower overall maintenance costs, supporting efficient vessel operation.
Shell Gadinia S3 40 provides strong engine protection by reducing deposit formation in critical areas such as the piston ring belt and cylinder liners.
