The oil is formulated using a carefully balanced blend of base oils and additives designed to deliver reliable lubrication performance in wet, sour and demanding gas compression applications. Its formulation helps ensure effective lubrication of sliding components while maintaining system cleanliness and operational efficiency.

The lubricant provides excellent wetting properties that allow it to form a durable lubricating film on cylinder walls and other sliding surfaces within the compressor. This film helps reduce friction and protect components from wear, even when exposed to wet gases, solvent gases or challenging operating conditions. The lubricant has also demonstrated strong performance in propane compression systems and can be used in propane refrigeration compressors operating at suction temperatures as low as –30°C.
In addition to natural gas compression, the oil can also be used in compressors handling wet air, steam or solvent gases such as propane and certain organic chemicals including aldehydes and ketones. It is also suitable for the break-in lubrication of compressor cylinders and rod packings during initial equipment commissioning.
Physical characteristics include a kinematic viscosity of approximately 211 mm²/s at 40°C and 17.9 mm²/s at 100°C. The oil has a density of approximately 888 kg/m³ at 15°C and a flash point of approximately 268°C. The lubricant also demonstrates excellent corrosion protection with successful rust testing in both distilled water and synthetic seawater conditions.
