Mobil Rarus 827
Mobil Rarus 827 is part of the Mobil Rarus 800 Series, a range of high-performance synthetic air compressor lubricants primarily intended for severe-duty reciprocating air compressors. The formulation uses specially designed synthetic base oils and advanced additive technology to deliver superior protection and reliability in applications where mineral oil-based products may not meet performance requirements.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Rarus 827 is its outstanding oxidation and thermal stability. The formulation resists oil degradation at elevated temperatures, helping minimise sludge and deposit formation while supporting extended oil life and reduced maintenance intervals. It is suitable for cylinder and crankcase lubrication, compressor systems with gears and bearings and units operating at high discharge temperatures up to approximately 200°C.
Physical characteristics include ISO VG 100 viscosity grade with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 107.5 mm²/s at 40°C and 10.12 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobil Rarus 827 has a flash point of approximately 270°C, a pour point of approximately −36°C and a viscosity index of around 66. The product also demonstrates excellent rust protection and low foam tendency, supporting reliable performance in severe-duty compressor applications.
