Mobil Rarus SHC 1025
Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 is formulated using wax-free synthetic hydrocarbon base fluids and advanced additive technology to deliver exceptional resistance to oxidation, thermal degradation and deposit formation.
One of the key advantages of Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 is its outstanding oxidation and thermal stability. The formulation resists oil breakdown at elevated discharge temperatures, helping minimise sludge and carbon deposits while supporting extended oil life and reduced maintenance intervals. This helps maintain compressor cleanliness and improve operational efficiency.
Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 also provides excellent wear protection and load-carrying capability. The lubricant helps protect bearings, gears and internal compressor components, ensuring reliable performance even in severe operating conditions. This contributes to extended equipment life and improved system reliability.
Another important benefit is its high viscosity index and wide temperature capability. The oil maintains effective lubrication at both low and high operating temperatures, making it suitable for compressors operating under demanding thermal conditions.
Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 also offers excellent water separability and corrosion protection. The formulation helps reduce emulsion formation and carryover while protecting internal compressor components from rust and corrosion. This supports cleaner systems and improved filtration performance.
Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 is primarily recommended for rotary screw and vane air compressors, particularly those operating under severe conditions or with high discharge temperatures up to approximately 200°C. It is also suitable for compressors with a history of excessive oil degradation, multistage units and systems containing gears and bearings.
Physical characteristics include ISO VG 46 viscosity grade with a kinematic viscosity of approximately 44 mm²/s at 40°C and 7.2 mm²/s at 100°C. Mobil Rarus SHC 1025 has a viscosity index of approximately 131, a specific gravity of approximately 0.849 at 15°C, a flash point of approximately 246°C and a pour point of approximately −45°C, supporting reliable performance in severe-duty compressor applications.
