Mobilfluid 428
Mobilfluid 428 is a modern extra high-performance multipurpose tractor lubricant engineered to meet the requirements of most equipment manufacturers for combined transmission and hydraulic systems. The formulation uses high-quality base oils and advanced additive technology to optimise performance in agricultural, construction and quarrying equipment operating under demanding conditions.
One of the key advantages of Mobilfluid 428 is its excellent frictional performance. The fluid is designed to optimise clutch and power take-off (PTO) operation while reducing wet brake chatter. This helps deliver smoother equipment performance, improved control and extended clutch life in heavy-duty applications.
Mobilfluid 428 also provides strong anti-wear and extreme pressure protection. The formulation helps reduce wear in transmissions, drive axles, hydraulic pumps and gears. Excellent thermal and oxidation stability helps minimise deposit formation and extend both lubricant and component life.
Another important benefit is its wide operating temperature capability. The high viscosity index and shear stability support consistent hydraulic response and effective lubrication across a broad temperature range. Enhanced low-temperature properties help ensure responsive operation in cold weather conditions, while strong rust and corrosion protection safeguards equipment in wet environments.
Mobilfluid 428 is recommended for transmissions, differentials, hydraulic systems, PTOs, wet brakes and hydrostatic drives in agricultural and off-highway equipment. The SAE 10W-30 viscosity and excellent shear stability also make it suitable for use in conventional CVT systems combining hydraulic pumps and planetary gear components.
Physical characteristics include SAE 10W-30 viscosity grade with kinematic viscosity of approximately 59 mm²/s at 40°C and viscosity index of approximately 141. Mobilfluid 428 has density of approximately 0.866 g/ml at 15°C, flash point of approximately 243°C and pour point of approximately −48°C. The fluid provides reliable multipurpose performance for modern tractor and off-highway equipment.
