Texaco Coupling Grease EP 2
Texaco Coupling Grease EP 2 is a premium NLGI Grade 2 grease engineered for the demanding lubrication requirements of high-speed flexible couplings, including gear-type and grid-type couplings on industrial drivelines. The lithium soap/polymer thickener system combines with a highly viscous mineral base oil (650 mm²/s at 40°C) and a tackifier to deliver outstanding resistance to centrifugal separation, even at extreme rotational speeds. In the ASTM D 4425 High-Speed Centrifugal Test, where forces exceed 36,000 G at 15,000 rpm, Coupling Grease EP 2 exhibits little to no oil separation, a level of performance critical to maintaining lubricant film integrity in modern high-output drive applications. Extreme-pressure additives provide protection under shock loads, while rust, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors extend service life. Suitable for use across power generation, marine, paper, petrochemical and general industrial drive systems where coupling life and reliability are critical.
